The Parisian store at Laurel Park Place in Livonia is hosting its fall Charity Day Sale fund-raiser on Saturday, November 10, 2001 from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The annual event provides local charitable organizations an opportunity to raise money for their activities.
“This year we hope to raise $100,000 for charitable organizations,” said Jackie McDougall, Parisian's Store Manager. Non-profit organizations earn money by selling $5 tickets to attend the event and retain 100% of the proceeds of the ticket sales. The ticket holders receive an additional 20% off all purchases made during the private sale and are eligible for hourly prize drawings, a $500 grand prize shopping spree, free gift-wrapping and complimentary refreshments.
“The event is successful because of the tremendous support of the organizations involved,” McDougall said. “It’s a wonderful way in which we can support the community and help the non-profits raise funds for their valuable activities and services. For instance, the Adult Well Being Service was able to put in a handicap ramp from their proceeds last year,"" said McDougall. ""Participants will receive a terrific sale, and a fun-filled morning of shopping with savings on all merchandise, including brands that are normally excluded from discounts,"" she concluded.
Tickets to the event may be purchased from one of the following participating organizations:
