Terry Cusack, formerly Senior Vice President with National Community Development Services, Inc. (NCDS), has left the firm to form his own fundraising company.
Prompted by a strong desire to serve communities both professionally and personally, Cusack has established Stellar Fundraising Executives, Inc., which provides comprehensive fundraising campaign management services to chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, Boy Scout Councils, community groups and educational institutions. “I am excited about the opportunity to more deeply involve myself in helping create more prosperous organizations and communities through our new firm,” Cusack said. “I look forward to continuing to serve the many communities I’ve worked with in the past and forming new relationships with those we haven’t previously assisted,” he continued.
Stellar Fundraising Executives was formed on the principle of commitment to excellence in both its people and service to clients. With more than fourteen years of experience, Cusack and his associates have assisted more than thirty organizations in raising more than $75 million in multi-year fundraising initiatives throughout the United States. “We have built a team comprised of the best and brightest in the fields of economic and community development as well as fundraising,” Cusack said. Stellar’s website is located at www.stellarfundraising.com.
Before forming Stellar Fundraising Executives, Cusack served as Senior Vice President for NCDS, an Atlanta-based national fundraising firm specializing in economic and community development. He is credited with helping grow communities in more than fifteen states throughout the country. During his six-year tenure there, Cusack also directed fundraising campaigns for four Boy Scout Councils and various other non-profit organizations.
Prior to joining NCDS, Cusack was Director of Economic Development for the Jacksonville, FL Chamber of Commerce, where he was responsible for fundraising to implement business recruitment/retention, workforce, military base re-use and International development initiatives. While there, Cusack directed a successful $10 million economic development Superfund Campaign for the chamber. In Jacksonville, Cusack also served as a “loaned executive” to Touchdown Jacksonville!, an investor group vying for the Jaguars National Football League franchise.
Cusack has been recognized in articles, national journals and newspapers and is an active national, regional and local speaker and facilitator on issues involving economic and community development, fundraising, and growing organizations and communities. He is particularly proud of his decade of volunteer service with the Big Brothers & Big Sisters organization.
